Come back for : Sweet Revenge?

There aren't very many dessert places in Richmond and Vancouver and I've been hearing about Sweet Revenge a lot, but I have yet to try it. I finally got the chance to get a taste of Sweet revenge, however I'm not quite sure if i'll come back to take revenge for some more dessert. The place itself was really small and there was very little space between the tables. The decor featured more of the English antique style, but I think this atmosphere would be more suitable for high tea, rather than late night dessert. Considering the fact the space in this shop is limited, I guess it is reasonable to have only one person on the floor serving customers, but surprisingly flagging down for service was extremely hard.

We were finally able to order, and we had the hot chocolate and the ginger bounce tea for the drinks, and a tiramisu and apple crisp. Mmmm... the hot chocolate was too small and literally half the cup was filled with whipped cream, totally not worth the $3.95. As for the ginger bounce tea, I was really disappointed in the lack of ginger taste and I found it rather minty than "gingery".

I was hoping that the desserts would be better and to be honest, they let me down on the desserts too. Tiramisu consists usually of lady fingers layered with marscarpone custard, and topped with cocoa powder, but I tasted more whipped cream in the susposedly marscarpone mixture than marscarpone and  towards the bottom of the dessert, it was very very bitter. Enough said, homemade tiramisu is always better.
I still had a slight hope that maybe the apple crisp would satisfy my dessert craving and AGAIN, homemade is without a doubt better than sweet revenge's version. I regret not adding vanilla ice cream on top because that would ameliorate this dish by a whole lot. Also, I expected for this dish to come out  straight out of the oven, nice and hot, and it was not. The apple crisp was only slightly warm, I wish it could have been blazing hot out of the oven. I did not like the crumble mixture at all, too dry, too much nutmeg, and not crispy at all. I couldn't wait to go home to make my very own apple crisp.

I really don't think there's anymore to comment about sweet revenge and I don't think I'll be coming back to take any revenge for their desserts.
